New Conductor

We appointed our new conductor, Phil Houghton at the end of March and commenced rehearsals for our Summer concert under Phil's baton after the Easter break.

Spring/Summer 2023

We have just been enjoying playing together for a few weeks. We will soon be starting rehearsing for our summer concert, on July 1st. The programme is till to be finalised.

We would love to have more members! Currently we would welcome another oboist, more brass and more strings. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Horn Soloist

We have now had a few rehearsals for the Strauss Horn Concerto with our soloist Peter Raistrick. What a talented young man! Make sure you come and hear him play at our concert on February 12th!

New members welcome

We would welcome some more players, particularly in the upper strings. Don't worry if haven't played for a while, you'll soon get back up to speed! Whilst you can never have too many violins and violas (I know not eveyone would agree!), whatever instrument you play, do get in touch as we often need extras or deputies to cover sickness or holidays so we will try and accommodate you .
